Goodies in a Box: KLUTCHclub

There's a really neat trend I've noticed in health, fitness and fashion, and it's practical, cute and useful. Various companies out there are offering monthly subscription services that you join to get monthly goodies. These goodies can be related to fashion, makeup or health and fitness.

One of my favorite service is KLUTCHclub, which ships out a monthly box of health and fitness products. You simply pay a monthly fee, which starts at $16. Each month the box contents are different and unique.

You can also score points and snag lovely items with your points.

April's box includes an energy drink, a yoga DVD, and other cute items.

  •     A detoxifying Yoga workout from MTV Power Yoga star, Kristin McGee
  •     A brand new energizing drink product to kick-start your workout
  •     Post workout coconut water hydration to replenish electrolytes
  •     Soothing teas with plant based anti-oxidants to improve your skin
  •     A cleansing organic deep-pore facial wash
  •     Organic omega 3, flax and fish oil supplements in new flavors
  •     Satisfying healthy snacks and nutritious treats
  •     A gift from an organic yoga clothing company

A Sucker for Chocolates!

I am a sucker for chocolates! So when I find something that I really like, I get obsessed. I especially love finding raw chocolate things, because they're healthy and clean.

A few days ago I tried Organic Darkest Cacao Truffles, and absolutely fell in love. They're by Living Raw, with products that have no sugar nor extra fat. They're hand rolled, creamy and delicious! And best of all, they're guilt-free.

They also offer Coconut Truffles, Double Trouble, and other mixed packages.

Try them out for yourself and tell me how you liked them!

For A Healthy Jolt: Steaz

I really don't normally drink energy drinks, but sometimes you run into an emergency at work, or you have to pull an all-nighter because of an important project.

At these times, coffee might work, but it gives you a really gross "hangover." It's that anxious feeling afterwards, coupled with stomach cramps.

Red Bull is no better, and with all of those chemicals in the list of ingredients, why would you want to put that stuff in your body? Plus it just makes you feel sticky and icky. Steaz is a great alternative to coffee and Red Bull. It gives you that kick, but without the headache or caffeine hangover.

Why is it different? First because it just tastes better. I personally like the original flavor - berry energy. It tastes great without the weird chemical aftertaste of most energy drinks. The great part is that it's better for you than other drinks: its ingredients include organic green tea, organic yerba mate, organic guarana & organic açai, AND it's also Fair Trade Certified. How much more goodness could you ask for?

Buy them at your local Whole Foods or other health food store, or order them online.

SHIMMI Swimwear: Summer is Coming!

Guess what, guys? Summer is officially on its way!

While beach season being imminent might make some of us nervous, it shouldn't! It should give us a chance to go out there, work out our butts off at Pilates Platinum to get ready for the beach and find the cutest swim suits we can find.

SHIMMI Swimwear is exactly what you'll need to get ready for some fun under the sun. The color of the suits are amazing and the fit is absolutely perfect for any body type. Every time I wear the suits someone stops me and asks me "where did you get that amazing suit!".

Let's be honest, being in a bikini can make any girl insecure - but these cute little things will make you feel super comfortable, sexy and empowered. They are also flattering to a wide range of body types.

Buy a Shirt and Give Back

We are constantly on the go here in Los Angeles - whether we're working hard, working out, or getting our projects off the ground, most of us rarely take some time out of our busy days and nights to give back to the community or the world. Possibly because we don't even know where or how to begin!

There are so many worthy charities and non profit organizations out there that are doing admirable and inspiring things; but how do you find them?

There are many ways you can start, even in a small way. There's Huffington Post's Impact, where you can read about amazing causes, and their Causecast platform that you can use to give to charities of your choosing or learn more about them. There's Tom's Shoes to utilize your spending power for something that's good.

I also recently found This Shirt Helps, which isn't tied to a particular charity, but that gives you the option of choosing the organization of your choice to help out. It's simple as buying a shirt, because every shirt bought from this company goes directly back to the org of your choice.

It simply boils down to this message:
One shirt = one month of education, one year of clean water, one animal saved or three trees planted.

So get started! Shop around the This Shirt Helps site and do something good today.
