Sip in Style with these Chic (Functional) Water Bottles!

There’s nothing better than a nice refreshing sip of water when you’re getting your sweat on. Water’s not only an everyday health essential, but it’s also a great way to keep your skin glowing and your locks lovely. With that said, it’s often hard to get that recommended daily dose of H20.
The solution? A stylish water bottle. We know it sounds crazy, but splurging on a chic (and functional!) water bottle will hold you accountable for sipping some H2O at all hours of the day. The options below are so incredibly cool, you’ll never want to leave the house without ‘em.

Sleek and stylish, BKR water bottles are an everyday essential. Made from glass and covered in a silicone sleeve, they’re BPA-free, phthalate-free, and honesty addictive. The best part? Every season, the brand releases a limited-edition collection inspired by runway trends in New York, London, Paris, and Milan.

Complete with a flat side, Kor One’s ultra-stylish bottle fits easily in any bag and a flip-top cap keeps germs away when you’re on the go. It’s made from BPA-free Eastman Tritan and also boasts an ice cube-friendly threadless spout. Pick your poison – it comes in tons of cool color options.

Our all-time fave gym essential, S’well Water Bottles are made from non-toxic stainless steel and keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12. Available in different textures, colors, and more, there’s one to match any workout look. Bottles do not condensate and they easily fit into any standard sized cup-holder. Oh, and did we mention the 25oz size holds an entire bottle of wine? #Winning.

Eco-friendly and stylish, Bottles Up rustic bottles (made from the same glass as Patron tequila) are easy to clean and refill. The brand also donates a portion of their sales to support more than 2,300 environmental organizations.

Love a little lemon with your water? Treat yourself to something special with this Flavor Infuser water bottle. Available in a sleek, glass bottle, it’s not only good for the environment, but it’s good for you, too. If you’re feeling extra fun, add strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers – whatever your heart desires.

For no-fuss washing and drying, opt for Clean Bottle’s The Square flat-sided water bottle. The flat sides keep it in place if it falls out of your hands, and the BPA-free stainless steel materials keep drinks colder longer. Available in a multitude of colors, 10% of all profits are donated to an eco-friendly charity.
Thirsty? We thought so! What’s your favorite style?

Spring Workout Essentials

It’s no secret that putting on chic workout clothes can inspire you to get out and get moving. And these days, with fitness wear more fashionable than ever, it’s never been easier to rock pieces that not only inspire, but look chic outside of the studio, too.
With that said, as spring approaches, there’s no better time to upgrade your workout wardrobe. Lucky for you, we’ve pulled together our favorite looks for the new season and beyond. Read on + get motivated!
Fashion-forward and extra-versatile, Vie Active’s Rockell compression tights are both comfy and supportive! The print is perfect for spring, too – light, airy, and easy-to-pair with any color top.
Geometric prints are all the rage for spring. And Vie Active’s Sage Sports Bra? It’s pure perfection. Supportive and comfortable, the racerback silhouette is easy to pair with any workout top. It’s a sleek and stylish addition to any workout wardrobe.
As the temps get warmer, it’s time to put those puffy jackets away. This season, opt for a lightweight cover up like Blanc Noir’s soft-to-the-touch Moto Sweater Cardigan. Stylish mesh details keep you cool, while varsity-striping keeps you totally on-trend.

Bright and beautiful, Chill by Will’s can’t-be-missed Freedom Leggings boast breathable mesh (perfect for those warmer days!) and contrasting back stitching. Comfortable and supportive, they’re perfect for working out and wearing out.  We’re obsessed with the ultra-cheerful hue.
Enjoy the most breathable workout in SoLow’s Lace Bloc Leggings! White is so on-trend for spring, and when you’re rocking these, you’ll command instant attention. Pair ‘em with a colorful printed top, bright sports bra and go!
Graphic tees are a spring style essential. Perfect for the studio and the streets, Spiritual Gangster’s Good Vibes Rocker Tank is easy to move in thanks to larger cut arm holes and a relaxed fit.  Wear it with a chic sports bra for a little hint of sexy.

Let it breathe in Koral’s perforated Aerate Tank! It’s designed to keep you cool (while looking haute of course!), so rock it over a stylish sports bra for double the impact. Bonus: it looks as chic on the streets as it does in the studio.
Lululemon’s 5 Mile Vest not only comes in the most gorgeous color, but it also boasts reflective details to keep you visible in low light. It’s ideal for cool evening runs and more. Bonus: secure zip pockets keep your essentials safe.

What are you wearing for spring? Comment below – we’d love to hear your favorite #GetFitLooks!

Gym Hair Dilemma?

Cute leggings: check.
Cute crop top: check.
Cute ToeSox: check.
Cute water bottle: check.

But, what about cute hair?! What’s the trick to keep your mane in check during a pilates sweat session? We all know how easy it is to leave the studio dripping in sweat, hair matted to your head—throw on a hat and hide under your sunnies.

Well, hide no more! Here are some gym hair ideas to keep you looking fresh before, during, and most importantly, AFTER your workout.

The Top Knot:
Simple, Sleek, Neat, and most importantly, keeps long hair out of your face and off your shoulder. Pull all of your hair up (like you’re going to pull it into a high pony), and tightly wrap it around itself until you’ve created a high bun. Secure with a large (thick) hair tie so that your hair doesn’t move around the top of your head. That’s it! Keep flyaway hairs down with a few drops of hair oil, and if you need to, secure any stray hair with bobby pins.
Check out Alessandra Ambrosio and JLo perfecting the look:

The Low Side Pony or Braid:
Another favorite for long hair that doesn’t scream, “I just worked out” and transitions perfectly from workout to the office (and even to happy hour). Part your hair down the middle, or slightly to one side. Pull all of your hair low to one side, and braid it all the way to the end. Be sure to secure the braid tight enough that it won’t fall out, but loose enough that it has a sexy, effortless look as it hits your shoulders.
Check out Vanessa Hudgens perfecting the look:

Pigtail Braids/High Buns:
For a look that’s a little more funk and lot more playful, try two high pigtail buns, or two low pigtail braids. Make a simple center part so that your hair is in two large sections. Pull each of the sections of your hair into either two high buns, or low into braids. Secure with a hair-tie and you’re ready to go! It’s a quick, easy up-do that’ll keep your sweat to a minimum and your hair looking put together long after you change out of your Luon.
Check out Kirsten Dunst and Busy Philips perfecting the doubles:

Other looks we love and can’t wait to try:
The Headwrap, as seen on Jaime Alexander on her way to a boxing class.
This look works great for short-haired ladies who are pumped on pilates. Hairpins and headbands do wonders in keeping strands off your face. Get more inspiration from Jessica Alba, Emma Watson and Kaley Cuoco, below.

There seems to be an alternative hair style for whatever workout you’re into, or mood you’re in.

Try switching up your look with these easy hair styles that’ll transition your look post sweat.

Who knew it would be so easy to ditch the classic pony 24/7!

Fitness Fashion: "Onzie" is a Favorite!

Nowadays it seems almost everyone’s style is on a fitness kick—cute bras and bootie shorts, black leggings and Nike studio wraps…sometimes even when there’s no intention of actually working out! Activewear has officially become as popular as the Little Black Dress. And we love it!
The girls from Clueless got it right!
We’ve come a long way from the standard uniform of long shorts and baggy t-shirts. Putting together a cute outfit for Pilates or a gym class is a great way to express your individual style and personality. Luckily it seems the options are endless-- GapFit,  Lululemon, Lorna Jane, even fashion retailers like AlternativeApparel and Forever21 have joined in on the fitness craze. There’s a long list of brands offering amazing fitness-approved (or fitness-inspired) attire for women, men, and even the kiddies!

We’ve been having fun shopping for new looks to show off our style, and fit bodies, while we break a sweat. (Have you seen the new shipment of Toesox in fun prints that just arrived at the Pilates Platinum Hollywood Studio?) But one of our new absolute favorites is a line called Onzie. And the best part-- besides the amazing designs, interesting and bright prints, and gorgeous colors? All aspects of production of Onzie products, including design, knitting, dyeing, cutting, and sewing, are done right here in our backyard of Venice Beach, CA. Support your community!

Check out the collection on the company's website (www.onzie.com), or at Without Walls, (www.withoutwalls.com) a great online retailer with a huge selection of Onzie styles. You can also shop Onzie at a Nordstrom location near you.
